New Policies & New Pathways: Changes and Trends in International Education

Professional Development Seminars (Canada), Canadian International Academy in Nanjing, and Canadian Education Services (China), are organizing a seminar for teachers and administrators to be held in August, 2011 in Nanjing, China. Schools that offer the Ontario and British Columbia curriculum in south-east Asia will be invited to attend along with selected principals from middle schools in Nanjing. Ministry of Education officials from the two Canadian provinces will be invited to address seminar participants and local education officials in Nanjing will give opening addresses. Our special guest is Ontario consular official, Mr. Philip Wong. Seminar sessions will address the Ontario Ministry of Education’s new policy document, Growing Success and Bilingual Education in the Chinese classroom as well as other current topics.
