Several significant changes to Ministry of Education guidelines regarding the operation of Ontario Secondary Schools have been made over the last few years. The most recent changes are captured in the newly published Growing Success: Assessment, Evaluation and Reporting, 2010 document. Many of these changes apply to private schools.
PDS has updated its, for-purchase, Policy/Procedures Manual resource to reflect these changes. The policies cited in the manual arise from the Ontario Ministry of Education policy document and have been carefully adapted for use in private schools. The procedures section includes samples and templates that individual schools can adapt to their particular context. We have also included additional information that is of significance and interest to private schools, as well as sources for information. We enclose the Table of Contents of the updated Policy/Procedures Manual for you to review. Each of the procedures in the manual is referenced to the relevant Ministry policy, Policy/Program Memorandum, or other source of information.
We recognize that creating and updating an extensive Policy/Procedures Manual requires, in addition to expertise, many hours of preparation. Since time is often the most valuable commodity of a busy principal, PDS has worked to develop a comprehensive Policy/Procedures Manual, compatible for private schools in Ontario.
The fee for this resource is $2,000 (plus 13% HST). The purchaser of the Policy/Procedures Manual will be required to sign a copyright and usage agreement prior to receipt.
