School Improvement Plan

PDS can assist your school in developing its School Improvement Plan (SIP), based on data collection and analysis, followed by determining the targets for improvement, and the subsequent report writing. Our team has both the expertise and experience to help you meet the goals of your SIP in the areas of literacy, numeracy, and student retention, whether as an individual school or through FNSSP.

Schools have critical data at hand regarding student marks, student evaluation results, attendance, extent of parental involvement, and other contextual data. Schools, however, often lack the time and expertise to establish and articulate long-range management plans based on these data. With a comprehensive profile of the school, the factors that influence student learning can be identified and measured, and programs put in place to support increased student achievement.

PDS can ensure that your school has the tools and strategies necessary to move your SIP forward. PDS can provide the following services to support your SIP:

  • assistance in gathering critical assessment data
  • review and evaluation of the data to identify patterns and trends
  • analysis and interpretation of the data
  • communication strategies for sharing information within the school and community
  • strategies to produce improvement in student achievement linked directly to Ontario Ministry of Education directional documents
